What’s your role at White Marble?

I’m officially a Senior Marketing Executive and unofficially the Office Comedian at White Marble (or ‘White Marbz’, as Gen Z might call it). I’ve worked here for a little over two years and in that time reached the conclusion that Kim Kardashian has nothing on my social media skills. While she might know a thing or two about social, when it comes to applying it to a finance context it’s a little more ‘Kim K who?’.

I love all things social and am typically involved in various projects in this area: organic, paid, best practice – you name it. Away from my social obsession, I also often take the lead while managing website refresh or redesign projects. There’s something about mapping a site’s information architecture that’s strangely therapeutic.

What prior experience do you bring?

Prior to joining White Marble, I worked for AXA Investment Managers’ Global Marketing Team and across their retail, wholesale and institutional segments. I contributed to various projects, particularly global thematic and multi-asset campaigns. My role also involved assisting in initiatives being conducted within multiple local markets – for instance, collaborating with the Marketing Manager in Japan to help organise the Global Symposium.

What’s your favourite hobby or pastime?

Bringing top banter to the office. Come rain or shine, Sofia will have a story for you. It’s not part of the job description, but I really should speak to someone about adding it. If I’m not occupied creating gales of laughter with my comedic talents, I’ll probably be eating my way through London’s restaurants. I think my Italian heritage is to blame.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I can lick my elbow, which makes for a fantastic ice breaker and party trick. And no – I’m serious.

What’s a pet peeve of yours?

Scraping silverware. The sound of a fork or metal object scraping across a plate is like nails on a chalkboard to me. It’s torturous, and thinking so doesn’t make me a drama queen.

What can’t you live without?

It’s the simple things: Italian food, coffee and Zara. To be frank, in most cases it’s incredibly likely that you’ll see me eating a plate of ravioli, followed a detour to Pret en route to Zara. You can’t write it.
